The Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One J003524240 transforms the brand's iconic figure-eight Grande Seconde layout into a fully openworked display of contemporary haute horlogerie. Crafted in 18K white gold and measuring 41mm, the watch replaces a conventional dial with transparent sapphire, leaving the mechanical architecture of the movement almost completely exposed. A white-gold hour and minute ring appears to float above the mechanism at 12 o'clock, while the oversized seconds display occupies the lower half of the composition.

At its heart is the skeletonized Jaquet Droz Caliber 2663 SQ, a self-winding manufacture movement featuring dark-treated bridges, a silicon balance spring and pallet horns, twin barrels, and an openworked precious-metal oscillating weight. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the 30-jewel movement delivers approximately 68 hours of power reserve. The openworked rotor and extensively skeletonized architecture were designed to preserve an unobstructed view through the movement from both sides of the watch.

Introduced in 2018, the Skelet-One represented a major reinterpretation of the Grande Seconde, a design deeply associated with Jaquet Droz. Rather than simply skeletonizing a traditional dial, the watch uses sapphire and suspended displays to make the movement itself part of the design.
